About this opportunity

Colorado Mountain College (CMC) is seeking quotes from qualified firms to design and build bike storage facilities for its Spring Valley and Breckenridge campus student housing locations. The Request for Proposal (RFP) requires two welded 10' x 12' structures with specific design specifications, to be completed by December 1, 2025. Potential additional structures for the Edwards campus may be requested in Spring 2026. The procurement will be conducted through the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System (BidNet), with proposals due on October 6, 2025, and a target award date of October 8, 2025. Bidders must submit a comprehensive single PDF document detailing company information, years in business, qualifications, and a detailed bid. CMC will evaluate proposals based on multiple criteria including overall quality, company qualifications, pricing, warranties, references, and service capabilities. The college reserves the right to make multiple awards or no award at all, with the selection based on the best value rather than the lowest price.

No specific set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations were explicitly mentioned in the procurement documents. The insurance requirements indicate that vendors must maintain specific liability coverage, including Commercial General Liability with $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate limits, and Workers' Compensation at statutory limits. Insurance carriers must be licensed in Colorado with a minimum A.M. Best Rating of A-. While no specific budget range was provided, the project is funded through the college's budget, with financial obligations subject to appropriation by the CMC Board of Trustees. The project covers two initial structures, with potential for expansion to the Edwards campus in the future. Vendors will need to provide comprehensive pricing for labor, materials, and delivery, with a detailed breakdown of costs for each bike storage structure. The procurement appears to be open to various qualified vendors capable of meeting the technical and insurance requirements specified in the RFP.
