About this opportunity

The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) in Orange County, California, is soliciting bids for miscellaneous big bus parts, with bids due October 27, 2026. Bidders must be the original equipment manufacturer, an authorized dealer or approved reseller, a subcontractor, or an agent authorized by the OEM. A bidder offering a brand other than the one requested must first obtain OCTA approved-equal status through the approved-equal process, with technical data submitted on an Approved Equal Form.

OCTA will award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder with available inventory and may split awards among bidders based on overall benefit. Best warranty terms may influence award results. Bidders must include all freight and delivery costs in their price, state the manufacturer's name, and complete the warranty section, including the start-of-warranty checkbox. Brand names and model numbers, when used, identify a standard of requirement, and line items that omit a required element may be found non-responsive. Bidders must provide their own warranties plus a pass-through genuine new parts manufacturer and/or supplied parts warranty, and remain responsible for both. The bidder bears the burden of proving equality, substitutability, and compatibility of any alternate at no cost to OCTA, and OCTA is the sole judge of those determinations. Bidders are asked to submit their best price, warranty terms, and lead time.
