The State of California, through Orange County and associated jurisdictions, is procuring construction services for Bid No. SY25002, the Nutwood Avenue Pedestrian Bridge project located in Fullerton, California. This infrastructure project involves the design and construction of a pedestrian bridge spanning the intersection of Nutwood and Commonwealth avenues on the California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) campus. The primary objectives include protecting pedestrians, reducing traffic accidents, mitigating neighborhood concerns, improving traffic flow, and encouraging alternative transportation methods such as walking and biking. Deliverables encompass a new pedestrian bridge structure with a prefabricated single-span truss configuration over Nutwood Avenue, cast-in-place abutments founded on pile caps with cast-in-drilled-hole piles, retaining walls on CSUF property for approach ramps, modifications to medians and striping near the College Park building's north parking lot, removal and replacement of City of Fullerton traffic signals at the Nutwood and Commonwealth intersection, new landscaping and lighting for the bridge and intersection, excavation and backfill work, traffic control implementation, and sidewalk repairs associated with traffic signal relocation. The project is funded through Federal, State (Caltrans), CSUF, and County sources. The bid was posted on February 23, 2026, with a submission deadline of April 21, 2026.

No evaluation criteria beyond standard construction procurement practices are explicitly detailed. The opportunity does not list specific award values or budget ranges, though the project's multi-source funding structure (Federal, State, Caltrans, CSUF, and County) indicates substantial financial backing.
