About this opportunity

The City of Perry, located in Henry County, Georgia, is soliciting sealed bids (Bid #2025-30) for the installation of Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) Cover Footings at the Vehicle Maintenance and Sign Shop buildings located at 500 Ball Street. The procurement requires a qualified contractor to complete a comprehensive scope of work including demolition of existing asphalt and dirt, conducting soil and compaction tests, performing dowel and rebar installation inspections, and implementing Option A plans prepared by PI-Tech. Key deliverables include submission of soil and compaction test results, product data for review, and a resume demonstrating similar project experience. Contractors must provide documentation showing adherence to specific construction standards, such as using galvanized anchors and meeting concrete requirements outlined in the project plans. The bid is due on April 21, 2025, at 2:00 pm, with a mandatory submission location at 1211 Washington Street, Perry, GA 31069. Submitted bids will remain valid for 60 days following the submission deadline, and bidders are required to provide comprehensive documentation including references and a detailed cost proposal.

While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned in the procurement documents, the bid process appears open to qualified contractors who can demonstrate technical capability and project experience. The project does not specify a precise budget range, but requires contractors to carry specific insurance coverages including workers' compensation, comprehensive general liability, and automobile liability with coverage amounts ranging from $100,000 to $2,000,000. The City of Perry reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to negotiate separately to serve its best interests. No performance bonds are required for this project, and the permit has already been obtained by Public Works. Interested contractors must submit comprehensive bid packages that include a signed E-Verify affidavit, contractor's affidavit, business license, reference list, detailed cost proposal, and a construction/installation schedule. The project will be awarded based on the contractor's ability to meet technical specifications, demonstrate relevant experience, and provide a competitive pricing structure.
