About this opportunity
The City of Perry, Georgia is seeking competitive sealed bids for Bid Number 2025-22, a significant infrastructure project involving the construction of a gravity sewer system extending from the Parkway Pump Station to the Ivy Glen Pump Station. The project scope encompasses the installation of 5,420 linear feet of 24" PS115 PVC gravity sewer, 2,130 linear feet of 24" DIP gravity sewer, associated gravity sewer manholes, and connections to the existing sewer system. A critical component of the project includes a 100 linear foot jack and bore operation under Highway 341 using a 36" steel casing. Bidders must possess a Georgia Utility Contractor License and submit E-Verify documentation with their proposal. The project will be managed by GWES, LLC, and sealed bids are due on March 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the City Administration Building in Perry, GA. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for February 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., and the project timeline mandates substantial completion within 180 consecutive calendar days and final completion within 210 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
Contractors must submit a 10% bid bond or certified cashier's check with their bid, and the surety company must maintain an "A" minimum rating with financial strength at least five times the contract price. Bid documents are available from GWES, LLC for a non-refundable fee of $200, and bidders are responsible for obtaining all necessary federal, state, and local permits. The City of Perry will handle acquiring required easements and rights-of-way prior to issuing the Notice to Proceed. While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned, contractors will need to coordinate extensively with the City of Perry and other utility owners within the project corridor. The bid documents do not specify a precise award value or budget range, but the comprehensive infrastructure nature of the project suggests a substantial investment in municipal infrastructure improvement.
