About this opportunity

The City of Perry in Georgia is soliciting bids for the procurement of one (1) new SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) compressor and fill station through Bid #2025-20. The procurement seeks a comprehensive compressor system with specific technical requirements, including a minimum 6000 psi capacity, 10 horsepower electric motor, automatic condensate drainage, and integrated alert systems for low oil pressure and high temperature. The fill station must be capable of simultaneously filling two SCBA or SCUBA bottles at 5500 psi. Bidders are required to submit a detailed proposal including a comprehensive brochure and specification list, with all documentation to be delivered to the Department of Finance - Purchasing by 2:00 PM on November 19, 2024. The bid submission must be physically mailed or hand-delivered to 1211 Washington Street, P.O. Box 2030, Perry, GA 31069, with no faxes or emails accepted. The City of Perry reserves the right to accept any part of the bid, reject all bids, and waive any informalities in the bidding process. Potential bidders with questions are instructed to contact Kirk Crumpton at 478-988-2810.

There are no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on vendor participation mentioned in the procurement documents. The successful bidder must be able to deliver the compressor system within 45 days or less and include shipping, delivery, setup, and an NFPA-acceptable air sample after installation as part of their bid price. No incumbent vendor information is provided in the procurement documentation. While a precise budget range is not specified, the procurement is for a single comprehensive SCBA compressor and fill station system. The contract appears to be open to all qualified vendors who can meet the technical specifications and delivery requirements. The City of Perry has indicated flexibility in the procurement process by reserving the right to accept partial bids and waive informalities, which suggests an approach focused on finding the most suitable solution for their specific needs.
