About this opportunity
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is seeking proposals from qualified laboratories to conduct taxonomic analysis, including sorting, identifying, and enumerating macroinvertebrate samples collected as part of a Beaver Dam Analog (BDA) restoration project in the Chehalis Basin. The project, which is expected to run from May 2024 to June 2028, requires the successful applicant to process an estimated 156 samples over the multi-year contract term. The scope of work includes providing consistent taxonomic analysis of the macroinvertebrate samples. Proposals will be evaluated based on the applicant's experience, proposed approach, budget, and ability to successfully complete similar contracts. The RFP indicates a budget of no more than $60,000 for this project, and proposals are due by noon on April 15, 2024, with the successful applicant to be notified in the week of April 22, 2024.
The RFP encourages applications from businesses certified as minority, women-owned, or veteran-owned in Washington State. WDFW intends to award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bid from a Small Business or Veteran-Owned Business, unless none of these businesses are responsible and responsive to the solicitation. Additional contractors may be awarded if WDFW determines more are necessary. Reimbursement will be for the actual cost of producing the required products and events as agreed upon in the Statement of Work.
