About this opportunity
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is soliciting information regarding sole-source procurement of Axon Enterprises Conducted Energy Weapons (CEWs/Tasers), accessories, cartridges, service plans, warranties, training materials, and training aids, with vendor capability statements due September 2, 2026 by 3:00 p.m. ET. This is not a competitive solicitation; the agency has determined that only Axon meets its requirements and invites prospective vendors to demonstrate alternative capability within the stated deadline.
The scope covers Taser 10 or newer model devices for sworn members of the Division of Law Enforcement during arrest or custody situations where subjects escalate to active resistance or present physical threat. The Taser 10's ten-dart capacity before reload is identified as unique to Axon's product line. The contract also includes Axon's proprietary Virtual Reality training package for tactical proficiency and de-escalation skill development. All deliverables must support the agency's law enforcement operations in accordance with General Order #5, the use-of-force policy.
The total contract value is $6 million. The contract term and place of performance are not specified in the notice. Vendors submitting capability statements must warrant full performance capability and comport with Chapter 287, Florida Statutes, and applicable rules and laws. Contact Rachel Massey, Assistant Purchasing Director, at rachel.massey@myfwc.com or (850) 510-9990. Protests are governed under Section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes.
