About this opportunity
Wicomico County Public Schools (WCPS) in Maryland has awarded a moving-services joint offer contract (JOC) to two vendors effective upon award through February 28, 2029, with two optional one-year renewals, for an anticipated expenditure of $220,000 over the initial three-year term.
The awardees are Bates Moving & Storage Co., Inc. and E-Logic, Inc. The scope covers moving furniture, files, and cabinets within and between WCPS office and school sites throughout Wicomico County. Bates Moving & Storage submitted the lower pricing: mover rates of $45.00 to $67.50 per hour (daytime through evening, weekend, and holiday), supervisor rates of $60.00 to $90.00 per hour, and van charges of $45.00 per hour across all periods. E-Logic submitted higher rates: mover rates of $58.00 to $92.00 per hour, supervisor rates of $80.00 to $110.00 per hour, and van charges of $80.00 to $101.00 per hour. Both vendors apply a 15% mark-up for miscellaneous materials, sub-contractors, and rental equipment; E-Logic charges a 22% mark-up on these items.
The underlying IFB was posted December 11, 2025, with bids opened January 14, 2026. The solicitation reached 332 vendors through Bonfire/Euna, the WCPS website, and the eMaryland Marketplace (eMMA), generating 25 plan holders and 5 total submissions. Three vendors—A1 Maestro Maven Peace DMC LLC, ITAS LLC, and Tedable Solutions LLC—were disqualified as non-responsive.
