About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Revenue is issuing a notice of intended single-source purchase for one Avigilon Rackmount Network Video Recorder (NVR6) under PUR 7776, with vendor capability information due November 20, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, or replies. The Department intends to purchase from Georgia-Florida Security & Fire, LLC of Tallahassee, Florida, which provides programming, maintenance, and technical support for the Department's existing Avigilon system. Prospective vendors must submit written information on their ability to supply the equipment by email to the PUR 7776 contact, Tanisha Miller of the Office of Financial Management/Purchasing, at Tanisha.Miller@floridarevenue.com or (850) 717-6473.

The NVR6 is a specialized server that receives, records, stores, and manages video from networked security cameras. It will replace the Department's current Avigilon equipment across three Department buildings. The estimated cost is $75,000 for one unit. The notice is posted under Leon County, Florida.

The Department's justification centers on operational, financial, and security risk. It states that buying the replacement server from a separate vendor would create potential compatibility issues, divide responsibility for troubleshooting and warranty claims, and risk prolonged camera downtime. The Department cites Georgia-Florida Security & Fire's single point of accountability for system integration, performance, troubleshooting, and warranty coordination.

The notice was posted October 29, 2026 and remains posted for at least 15 business days under Florida Statutes sections 120.57(3) and 287.057(3). Failure to file a protest within the time prescribed in section 120.057(3), or failure to file a bond or other security within the time allowed, constitutes a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 120.
