About this opportunity

The Colorado Department of Corrections is requesting quotes for meat and cheese products to supply its warehouse operations during August 2026 under Documented Quote DQ 2026000517, with quotes due June 18, 2026 at 5:00 PM Mountain Time. Price is the primary evaluation factor, though sample quality, past performance, and lead time for delivery may be considered.

All meat products must be fully frozen and delivered at no higher than 0 degrees Fahrenheit, produced within the last ten months; all cheese products must be produced within the last eighteen months of delivery. Kosher items, if requested, must be certified with current documentation using approved symbols from the 2023 Kosher Symbols attachment. Vendors must be capable of delivering to six warehouse locations: Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility, Buena Vista Correctional Center, Canon City Central Warehouse, Denver Women's Correctional Facility, Limon Correctional Facility, and Sterling Correctional Facility.

All pricing must be F.O.B. Destination and all-inclusive; vendors must factor shipping costs into their bids with no additional surcharges or taxes to be paid by the State. Proposed pricing must remain firm during the contract term. The contract is for a single order issued on Purchase Order(s) for August 2026 only.

Award notification is anticipated July 1, 2026, with a desired contract start date of July 6, 2026. Written inquiries must be submitted through bidnetdirect.com/cdoc no later than June 15, 2026 at 5:00 PM Mountain Time. The awarded offeror must provide proof of Good Standing with the Colorado Secretary of State, an insurance certificate documenting required coverage, and Federal Employer Identification Number documentation via W-9 prior to contract execution. Vendors may be required to provide samples at their own expense within two business days of request. Respondents must execute a Non-Conflict of Interest affidavit certifying compliance with Colorado Revised Statutes and the State of Colorado State Controller's Procurement Conflicts of Interest Policy.
