About this opportunity
The State of Idaho Division of Purchasing is requesting bids on attenuator trucks for the Idaho Transportation Department under ITB 1397, with bids due October 7, 2026 and a non-mandatory pre-bid conference scheduled for September 11 at 11:00 AM MT. No set-aside or preference program is stated.
The initial order consists of 24 trucks configured for statewide highway maintenance, construction, and traffic control operations. Each truck must be a Ford F-650 or equal single-axle, medium-duty chassis with GVWR not exceeding 26,000 pounds, paired with either a Scorpion II Model C-90 MASH Test Level 3-compliant truck-mounted attenuator or equal, or one of two specified changeable message board options: a Litesys Litereader 1230F-A or Wanco WB8-LSAC arrow board. Anticipated follow-on orders of one to four trucks annually are possible with configurations determined by ITD at time of purchase. Delivery must occur within 225 calendar days after receipt of order to ITD headquarters in Boise, Idaho. Each truck must be delivered with a minimum three-quarter tank of fuel, fully cleaned, and accompanied by a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin. A two-year warranty on all truck components and accessories is required, with a five-year warranty specifically on all lighting components.
The initial contract term is one year with an anticipated total contract term of five years, subject to mutual written agreement for renewal, extension, or amendment. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on combined total extended cost of pricing tables in Submittal Form B; unit prices are required for all four line items.
Questions are due September 18, 2026 at 11:59 PM MT. Public bid opening is scheduled for the first business day following closing at 10:30 AM MT. Bidders must submit responses electronically through IPRO in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF formats without embedded files or links, including completed Submittal Forms A, B, and C with separate Form C submissions for each distinct product offered.
