About this opportunity
The City of Anaheim Community Services Department is soliciting bids for athletic field maintenance services covering up to 77 sports fields throughout the city, with bids due July 31, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. and a mandatory pre-bid meeting and job walk on July 17, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at La Palma Park. This is a prevailing wage project subject to California Department of Industrial Relations requirements—a cost and compliance filter that eliminates non-compliant bidders.
Bidders must hold a valid California C-27 Landscaping Contractor License and provide references for similar work performed within the past three years. The scope includes comprehensive grounds and landscape maintenance at multiple field locations (La Palma Park, Delphi, Yorba parks, and others) covering ground cover upkeep, trash and debris removal, infield and outfield preparation, striping, weekly maintenance, and bi-annual lip management across softball, baseball, little league, soccer, and football fields. The contractor provides all labor, training, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, hauling, and supplies at the contractor's expense; pest control, rodent control, and ballfield lighting are excluded from scope. The solicitation includes approximately 1,745 as-needed labor service line items.
The initial contract term is one year with four additional one-year renewal options at the City's discretion. The City may terminate the agreement at any time. Bid pricing must remain firm for the entire contract term; renewal period adjustments are limited to the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim Consumer Price Index or government-mandated wage increases with City approval. Award goes to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Within ten calendar days of award, the awardee must provide a 10 percent bid bond, performance and labor and materials bonds equal to 100 percent of the annual contract value, and certificates of insurance with minimum limits of $2 million general liability, $2 million automobile liability, and $1 million workers' compensation coverage. Questions are due July 24, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
