About this opportunity
Cobb County School District (CCSD) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking high-quality core instructional resources for Astronomy instruction in grades 9-12. The procurement aims to identify print, digital, and open educational resources (OER) that align with the Science Georgia Standards of Excellence. Providers are invited to submit resources for single or multiple grade levels, with each distinct set of materials requiring a separate proposal. Key deliverables include comprehensive instructional materials that demonstrate alignment with CCSD's mission, support direct connections between astronomical concepts and related scientific disciplines, and showcase higher-order thinking skills. Evaluation criteria will focus on completeness, instructional alignment, accessibility, and compatibility with district systems. Critical deadlines include written questions due by December 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM ET, RFI responses due by December 9, 2025, at 3:00 PM ET, and physical and digital sample submissions required by January 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM ET. All submissions must be made through the CCSD Euna Procurement Interactive Portal, with digital access maintained through January 30, 2026.
The RFI does not specify any specific set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations. No incumbent vendors are identified, and the document does not outline specific award values or budget ranges. Digital materials must meet specific technical requirements, including alignment with the district's digital learning environment, compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 or higher), and integration capabilities with Microsoft Entra ID or Clever SSO. Providers must ensure materials are free from bias related to race, gender, religion, culture, ethnicity, disability, political, and socioeconomic status. The RFI emphasizes that this is an informational gathering process and does not guarantee any future procurement or provide competitive advantages to responding providers. Materials must support student understanding in physical science disciplines and demonstrate comprehensive educational value across astronomy instruction for high school students. Potential providers may be invited to interview during the evaluation period for additional clarification.
Opportunity text
The purpose of this RFI is to identify high-quality core instructional resources - including print, digital, and open educational resources (OER) - that support instruction in Astronomy as defined by the Science Georgia Standards of Excellence. Information gathered may inform a potential future RFP or district pilot for the 2026-2027 implementation cycle. To meet this purpose, providers are given the opportunity to submit information for review, although the District reserves the right to consider any and all resources for acquisition. The information requested is limited to a set of general criteria already established by the district. Providers are invited to submit resources for single or multiple grade levels/spans. If there are multiple sets of materials within a provider's product, each set of materials should be submitted separately.
