About this opportunity

The County of Los Angeles Internal Services Department (ISD) has released a Request For Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ) to establish an As-Needed Small Office Equipment (SOE) Repair Master Agreement. This procurement seeks to qualify multiple contractors to provide as-needed repair services for small office equipment across various categories and brands. Prospective vendors must demonstrate specific skills and experience in their applied-for equipment category, satisfy comprehensive insurance requirements, and accept all of the County's standard terms and conditions. The RFSQ process will identify Eligible Contractors who can be selected to perform repair services through individual Master Agreement Service Requests as county work requirements arise. Vendors will only be compensated through satisfactory completion of specific service requests, with no guaranteed minimum work volume. The solicitation was posted on December 7, 2015, with a response deadline of January 16, 3025. Evaluation will focus on vendors' technical capabilities, expertise in specific equipment categories, and ability to meet the county's stringent insurance and contractual requirements.

The RFSQ does not specify any specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent types, appearing to be open to a broad range of qualified service providers. No incumbent vendors are explicitly mentioned in the documentation, and there are no details about specific existing infrastructure or technology integration requirements. The procurement approach is designed to create a flexible roster of pre-qualified repair contractors that the county can engage on an as-needed basis, which suggests the county is seeking to establish a dynamic and responsive repair service network. While no specific award values or budget ranges are disclosed in the available documents, the master agreement structure implies that individual service requests will determine actual compensation. The contract appears to be structured to provide the county with maximum flexibility in procuring small office equipment repair services, allowing them to quickly engage qualified vendors across multiple equipment categories as specific needs emerge.

Each Vendor who demonstrates the skills and experience required in the applied-for category/brand; satisfies all insurance requirements; and accepts all of the County's terms and conditions of the As-Needed Small Office Equipment (SOE) Repair Master Agreement will be deemed an Eligible Contractor and will receive an As-Needed SOE Repair Master Agreement with the County. As County work requirements arise during the term of the As-Needed SOE Repair Master Agreement, Eligible Contractors in the applicable Categories/Brand will be selected to perform under a Master Agreement Service Request.
