About this opportunity
The Atlanta Independent School System (APS) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for E-Rate eligible wireless equipment and wireless services. APS is seeking a qualified vendor to provide an infrastructure wireless service and support compatible with Cisco Meraki or equivalent products, including access to the Cisco Meraki cloud-based dashboard. The proposed solution must provide full wireless network coverage to all instructional and administrative areas, including classrooms, study areas, media centers, assembly spaces, and offices. The RFP includes detailed technical specifications and requirements for the wireless infrastructure, connectivity, coverage, bandwidth, and implementation. A pre-proposal conference will be held on November 29, 2023, and proposals are due by December 18, 2023. APS may award the contract to one or more vendors and reserves the right to negotiate terms and conditions. The RFP outlines specific pricing requirements, including separate sections for hardware/equipment and management/support pricing on a per-access point basis.
APS is committed to promoting equity and diversity, and the selected vendor(s) must make efforts to utilize minority, women, and small business enterprises as subcontractors. The vendor must have a valid E-Rate Service Provider Identification Number (SPIN) and comply with all E-Rate program guidelines and requirements, including providing accurate Item 21 attachments, complying with SLD/USAC invoicing procedures, and labeling E-Rate funded equipment. The contract commencement date is on or after July 1st of the upcoming funding year, and the decision to proceed is contingent upon the district receiving E-Rate funding approval. The vendor is also responsible for providing monthly equipment move/change reports and properly documenting equipment trade-ins or disposal. E-Rate records must be retained for 10 years and are subject to inspection and audit.
