About this opportunity

The State of Illinois, through the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA), is seeking a qualified laboratory to provide analyses of public water supplies in St. Clair County. The contract will be for a two-year term from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2025, with no option to renew beyond the initial period. The selected vendor will be required to perform a range of analyses, including disinfection by-product testing, radiological testing, PCB analysis, and testing for Cryptosporidium, coliform, and E. coli. The vendor must be accredited by the appropriate agencies for each analytical category and will be responsible for providing sample kits, shipping containers, and other necessary materials to the water facilities. All results must be reported electronically and within 10 days of the end of the monitoring period. The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible vendor submitting the lowest price, with total payments not to exceed $99,900 without a formal amendment.

The RFQ does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. Subcontractors are allowed but must be pre-approved by the IEPA. No information is provided regarding incumbent vendors or current contractors, or any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The IEPA is seeking to establish a contract with a qualified laboratory to perform the required analyses of public water supplies in St. Clair County.
