About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is advertising a single-source procurement for Agilent equipment maintenance services, with vendor information due June 17, 2026. This is a statutorily mandated fifteen business day advertisement under Sections 120.57(3) and 287.057(3), Florida Statutes; FDLE does not intend to conduct competitive bidding.
The scope covers annual maintenance, repair, and support services for gas chromatographs, mass spectrometers, and related laboratory equipment across six FDLE Regional Crime Laboratories throughout the state. FDLE justifies single-source award to Agilent Technologies, Inc. based on exclusive use of Agilent equipment since May 2003 and the proprietary nature of Agilent's Remote Advisor Software, which provides automated service call placement, remote troubleshooting, diagnostic tools, and asset monitoring. The Remote Advisor establishes direct connection to instruments necessary for controlling access to sensitive forensic case data. FDLE asserts Agilent is the sole vendor capable of providing the requisite technological expertise and proprietary parts.
The estimated contract value is $550,000. The contract term runs July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, with place of performance at six FDLE Regional Crime Laboratories throughout Florida. The procurement was approved by Julia Lycett, Chief of General Services, and Roshale Gaytmenn, Director of Forensic Services.
