About this opportunity

The Texas A&M University System Office of Facilities Planning & Construction is requesting qualifications for an Architect/Engineer firm to design a new School of Public and Allied Health facility at Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas, with statements of qualifications due October 27, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Central Time.

The facility will house the Divisions of Kinesiology, Physical Education, Health, and Public Health, featuring specialty laboratories for academic and research activities, flexible classrooms of varying sizes, and administrative workspaces designed to accommodate future enrollment growth and provide modern training and research environments.

The planning amount for the project is $129.99 million, with an Amount Available for Construction Contract (AACC) of $94.91 million; the balance covers A/E fees, furnishings, other work, miscellaneous expenses, and contingencies. Respondents must complete a State of Texas Subcontracting Plan form as part of the qualification submission. The Owner may select the top three or more ranked qualified respondents to participate in interviews following the initial RFQ evaluation. All addenda and submissions are processed through e-Builder. Questions should be directed to Don Montgomery at the Office of Facilities Planning & Construction, (979) 458-7052 or donald.montgomery@tamus.edu; subcontracting plan inquiries go to so-hubprogram@tamus.edu.
