About this opportunity

Texas A&M University System Office of Facilities Planning & Construction is soliciting architect/engineer statements of qualifications for the Domestic Water Well #6 Upgrade in Bryan, Texas, on behalf of the Board of Regents and Texas A&M University. An optional pre-response site visit is set for November 13, 2026, and qualifications are due December 1, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. CST through e-Builder. The source names no set-aside or preference program, but respondents must submit a State of Texas Subcontracting Plan (SP) form.

The project redrills and replaces Well #6, a 1960-vintage groundwater asset now operating below expected efficiency. Scope includes a new 24-inch Simsboro replacement well, a 1,000-HP, 4,160-V vertical turbine pump, medium-voltage transformation and switchgear, protective relays, a new emergency generator with load bank connection, a reinforced pump pad, a cooling tower, SCADA and communications integration, and civil and site work. Design must comply with Brazoria Valley Groundwater Conservation District (BVGCD), Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), and Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) requirements. The existing well will be plugged, abandoned, or reclassified per BVGCD requirements upon commissioning.

The planning amount is $20.64 million, including an Amount Available for Construction Contract of $17.39 million, with fees, furnishings, other work, miscellaneous expenses, and contingencies comprising the remainder. The project site is 2951 Luza Lane, Bryan, Texas 77807. The Owner potentially selects the top three or more ranked respondents for interviews. Questions go to Andrew Lange at (979) 458-7003 or alange@tamus.edu.

Respondents must access and respond to all RFQ package documents exclusively through the provided e-Builder link. Addenda post in e-Builder rather than on the ESBD posting, and vendors should share only the official tinyurl link with potential bidders, not the direct URL.
