About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Design and Construction is issuing Addendum No. 1 to Bid BDC10-26/27 for roof replacement at the Education Center at Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park in Leon County, with bids due October 28, 2026. Each bid must include this addendum signed in acknowledgment of receipt, and omitting it may be grounds for rejection. Submissions go to Logan Lee-Marple, Contracts Specialist, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Boulevard, MS #520, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-3000.

The addendum supersedes and supplements the specifications and drawings and answers three bidder questions on roofing materials: the hard foam board type, since bidders noted none was visible in the provided images; the use of a 30-pound strip in valleys, which a bidder called outdated when paired with Versashield; and whether the Versashield fire barrier requires a double layer for Class A or a single layer for a lesser class. For each question, DEP directs bidders to provide the materials needed to complete the project, meet local, federal, and state code compliance, and maintain the manufacturer's warranty. All other contract documents remain in full force and effect.
