About this opportunity
The University of Central Florida (UCF) has issued an Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) for cleaning services specific to student apartment and bedroom spaces within the Nike, Hercules, and Neptune Buildings during summer room turn periods. The procurement covers comprehensive cleaning services for various apartment configurations ranging from studio units to 4-bedroom units, divided into two distinct lots across campus housing facilities. The contract term is set from March 1, 2025, through December 31, 2027, with potential renewals not exceeding 5 years. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for January 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM at UCF Housing Services - Neptune Building 159, with questions due by January 21, 2025, at 5:00 PM EST, and proposals due February 3, 2025, by 3:00 PM EST. Contractors must provide their own staff without subcontracting, maintain a full-time on-site supervisor, and work between 8 AM and 9 PM daily, adhering to UCF's "Showplace Facility" cleaning standards. Bidders must submit pricing per apartment/suite type using the provided Room Turn Pricing Sheet and complete work during two specific summer phases: Spring to Summer Turn (May 1-June 13) and Summer to Fall Turn (August 4-13).
The solicitation does not explicitly indicate specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Contractors must possess appropriate liability insurance, including $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate general liability, $1 million auto liability, and workers' compensation coverage. The total project encompasses 622 units across two lots: Lot 1 with 334 units (Nike buildings 101-107 and Neptune buildings 156-157) and Lot 2 with 288 units (Hercules buildings 108-114 and Neptune building 158). While specific budget ranges are not detailed, the pricing structure allows vendors to submit per-unit cleaning costs across various apartment configurations from 350-922 square feet. The procurement appears structured to potentially select multiple vendors, with the university reserving the right to award based on comprehensive evaluation of submitted proposals, though specific evaluation criteria beyond insurance and cleaning standards are not explicitly outlined in the available documentation.
