About this opportunity

The University of Southern Mississippi is issuing a Request for Bids (RFB) for the procurement of a Simultaneous Thermal Analyzer (STA) with an evolved gas mass spectrometer. The STA must be capable of performing simultaneous thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurements in inert gas and air environments from ambient temperature to 2400C, and be equipped with an evolved gas analysis Mass Spectrometer (MS). The University is seeking proposals by July 2, 2024, and onsite installation and system verification is required. The contract term is unspecified. Regarding pricing, the University requests to be invoiced annually for maintenance and prefers installment billing during implementation based on mutually agreed upon milestones. State law requires payment within 45 days of receipt of an original vendor invoice, and the University may choose to use a VISA Purchasing Card for invoice payments. The bid specifications outline detailed technical and software requirements, as well as customer support and warranty provisions that the selected vendor must meet.

The solicitation is open to all qualified bidders, and the University reserves the right to reject any or all bids. No additional information is provided regarding set-asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or other salient details. The total value or budget range for this procurement is also not specified.
