About this opportunity
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources issued Request for Quotes (RFQ) No. 46200-DNR0000824 for the procurement of one Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV/drone), spare parts, and training to support prescribed burn operations. This electronic solicitation was originally posted on January 8, 2026, with a submission deadline of January 30, 2026. The primary deliverable consists of a single UAV/drone system equipped with necessary spare parts, accompanied by comprehensive training for Department personnel to operate and maintain the equipment for prescribed burn management activities. All prospective bidders were required to register in the TEAM GEORGIA MARKETPLACE system to access the complete RFQ documentation, submit bids electronically through that platform, and monitor the solicitation portal regularly for any addenda or responses to submitted inquiries. Written questions concerning the RFQ were to be directed to Elizabeth Alexander at elizabeth.alexander@dnr.ga.gov, with no verbal responses binding upon the State. However, on March 5, 2026, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources issued a cancellation notice, terminating this solicitation due to the need to redevelop the requirements for this procurement.
The solicitation notice did not specify any particular set-aside designations or restrictions limiting responses to specific categories of organizations, such as disadvantaged enterprises or minority-owned businesses. No incumbent vendors or current contractors were identified in the available documentation. The RFQ documentation did not disclose an estimated budget range or award value for this procurement. All materials submitted by vendors in response to the cancelled solicitation will remain closed pending the issuance of a subsequent rebid by the State of Georgia. Suppliers interested in responding to any future solicitation for this UAV/drone procurement must await the posting of the new solicitation with revised bid forms and requirements, which will be established and published through the TEAM GEORGIA MARKETPLACE system.
