Official bidders access proposal documents on bidx.com, and informational Contract Documents containing Plans and Special Provisions are available free of charge on request to MassDOTBidDocuments@dot.state.ma.us. A proposal guaranty equal to 5% of the bid value is required. The Notice to Contractors values the project at $4.606 million.
The project is federally funded and subject to prevailing wage rates set by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the U.S. Department of Labor. It incorporates Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity specifications and Title VI Civil Rights Act protections, with minority and female participation goals and timetables specified in Appendices A and B-80. All work is subject to Architectural Access Board regulations.
The contract includes price adjustment provisions keyed to base prices for hot mix asphalt ($712.50 per ton), Portland cement ($452.13 per ton), diesel fuel ($5.413 per gallon), gasoline ($3.665 per gallon), and structural steel (Base Price Index 391.4).
