About this opportunity

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) has issued an emergency procurement for 500 CY of Class A Concrete to repair NM532 (Ski Run Road) where road failure caused closure due to flooding. The damage is in three areas, with the largest being over 200' long. The repair will consist of building a concrete wall, backfilling with 8"-12" rock, and creating a concrete cap along the length of the damaged road section. This emergency procurement is necessary to control a serious threat to public safety caused by the road failure, which poses the risk of completely washing out. Aggregate Technologies, LLC was the only vendor to respond to the request for quotes and has been selected for the $96,000 contract. The repair is crucial to prevent losing a long section of the road and ensure the safety of the traveling public. NMDOT plans to complete the concrete work by the end of August and then pave the following week to reopen the road as soon as possible.

This emergency procurement does not have any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. Aggregate Technologies, LLC is the incumbent vendor selected for the $96,000 contract, which includes 8.1875% in taxes for a total of $103,860. NMDOT will be taking measures to prevent the need for similar emergency procurements in the future, such as installing concrete wall barriers to channel water and improve drainage.
