About this opportunity
Hattiesburg Clinic is requesting bids on next-generation firewall appliances and related services under Bid Number 4618-20260930092701, with proposals due October 22, 2026.
The scope encompasses four current-generation NGFW appliances configured as two high-availability pairs—one pair at the Support Services campus and one pair at the Orthopaedics campus—to replace end-of-life equipment protecting over 60 ambulatory locations across south Mississippi. Required capabilities include intrusion detection and prevention, web and URL content filtering, LAN-to-LAN IPsec VPN tunneling, User-ID and Active Directory integration, and active/passive or active/active failover support. The procurement includes 10 GbE SFP+ interconnect cabling, Advanced Threat Prevention subscription, Advanced URL Filtering subscription, Premium 24x7 vendor support, and fixed-fee implementation services. The solicitation is vendor-neutral and accepts any manufacturer capable of meeting specified functional and performance requirements.
Subscriptions and support services cover a three-year term from activation. Complete cutover of both high-availability pairs must be accomplished within 90 days of contract execution. Bidders must submit firm, itemized pricing broken down by hardware, interconnect cabling, threat-prevention subscription, URL-filtering subscription, premium support, and implementation services, along with a technical narrative, proposed implementation plan with cutover and failover testing approach, support model details with hardware-replacement service-level agreements, and at least one comparable reference customer, with healthcare references preferred.
A notarized Affidavit of Non-Collusion is required as an attachment to all bid submissions. Technical questions should be directed to the Bid Specialist at 601-359-2036 or through the pre-bid conference referenced on the Mississippi Agency Bid Bank portal. Bid pricing must remain valid through a specified date to be confirmed by the respondent.
