The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 1 is issuing an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for a Transit Signal Priority (TSP) system pilot project along the US 41 corridor in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. The project will deploy TSP systems at 4 signalized intersections and install equipment on 12 transit vehicles operated by Sarasota County Area Breeze and Manatee County Area Transit. The selected Contractor will be responsible for furnishing, installing, configuring, and integrating all necessary TSP system components as a turnkey solution, including providing a 2-year warranty, technical support, cellular data plans, software updates, and cloud-based reporting capabilities. Bids are due by October 28, 2024, and the contract term is anticipated to begin on or about November 1, 2024 for 24 months. Pricing shall be provided as a lump sum for the complete TSP system, including all intersection and vehicle equipment, cloud-based software, and 2 years of warranty/support.
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation is encouraged, and the Contractor must submit an Anticipated DBE Participation Statement. The Contractor must be registered in the MyFloridaMarketPlace system, and the contract will be subject to the 1% MFMP transaction fee. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are listed, and the procurement does not provide a specific budget range, but Contractors should submit their best lump sum pricing for the complete TSP system as specified.
