About this opportunity

Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) in Flint, Michigan, is seeking competitive sealed bids for the procurement of a 4-Post Alignment System through this Request for Proposals (RFP). The procuring agency is the Genesee Intermediate School District's Career Technical Education program, specifically for use at The Genesee Career Institute located at G-5081 Torrey Road, Flint, MI 48507. The equipment being procured consists of one 4-Post, 18,000-pound capacity heavy-duty surface-mounted alignment drive-on lift with integrated software, capable of handling wheelbases from 63 inches to 211 inches and compatible with a WA Console and Hawkeye Elite alignment system. The lift must include two 9,000-pound capacity rolling jacks, stainless steel radius gauges, internal airline kit, filter/regulator/lubricator, slip plates, LED lighting kit, and drive-on ramp extension kit for 26-inch-wide runways. The deliverable scope includes complete delivery, installation, setup, removal and disposal of all packaging materials, and contractor responsibility for ensuring all work is performed at the CTE Automotive Technology facility. The bid submission deadline is Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. EST, with all vendor questions required to be submitted via email to Diana Allard, Director of Career Technology Education at dallard@geneseeisd.org, no later than 72 business hours before the due date. Site visits are available prior to the bid deadline by contacting the main office and requesting Travis Pike. Proposals must be submitted in sealed, opaque envelopes clearly marked "SEALED BID FOR GENESEE ISD - 4-Post Alignment, RFP" to Cynthia McCain, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, and electronic or fax submissions are not permitted. GISD will assume responsibility for removing and disposing of the existing lift currently located in the bay prior to the vendor's installation work.

The RFP documents do not identify any specific set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, or incumbent vendor information. All bidders responding to this opportunity must submit a completed and notarized Familial Relationship Disclosure Statement as required by Michigan Public Act 232 of 2004, declaring any familial or business relationships between the bidder and members of the GISD Board of Education, Superintendent, or other district officials; bids submitted without this statement will not be accepted. Additionally, all vendors must submit a properly sworn and notarized Iran Economic Sanctions Act Compliance Certification under Michigan Public Act 517 of 2012, confirming that their organization is not Iran-linked; failure to submit this certification or submission of false information may result in bid rejection, contract termination, three-year bidding ineligibility, and civil penalties of $250,000 or twice the bid amount, whichever is greater. The RFP documents do not disclose a specific budget range or award value for this procurement. Bidders must include all delivery and setup costs within their pricing submissions, and GISD reserves the right to add or change the total number of bid items during the contracting process. Final acceptance of the equipment is contingent upon complete delivery, installation, and Owner approval at the CTE facility.
