About this opportunity
Paragraph 1:
The Town of Cary, North Carolina, is seeking one or more qualified architectural, engineering, and landscape architectural firms to contract for the design and construction of a new multi-generational community center on a 100-acre property owned by the town. The selected firm(s) will provide a range of services, including preliminary design, design development, construction contract documents, bidding and construction contract award, construction administration, and post-construction phases. The project aims to deliver a community center that will serve diverse user groups. Interested firms must submit qualifications by June 11, 2024, at 10 AM ET. The contract term is expected to cover the design and construction phases, with the community center anticipated to open in 2029. Pricing for basic services will be based on a percentage of the total project cost, while additional services will be compensated on an hourly rate basis. The Town will not consider price as an evaluation factor, as this procurement is subject to the Mini-Brooks Act.
Paragraph 2:
This procurement is open to all qualified firms, and the Town of Cary does not have any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The Town has not identified any incumbent vendors or current contractors for this project, and there are no specific requirements for the integration of existing infrastructure or technology. The budget for this project has not been disclosed, but the contract will be awarded based on the qualifications and experience of the responding firms, rather than price.
