About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting quotations for 30 Jasper Boston Community chairs to be delivered to various court locations throughout Maine, with quotations due February 12, 2013.
All submissions must be made electronically through the State of Maine's Vendor Self Service (VSS) platform by 2:00 p.m. local time on the closing date. The chairs must meet detailed dimensional specifications including an 18-inch seat height, 25.5-inch overall width, 26-inch depth, and 32-inch back height. Frames must be constructed from hardwood or equivalent material with upholstered seats and backs using durable, stain-resistant fabric appropriate for high-traffic public environments. The chairs must be stackable and comply with standard furniture durability testing standards.
Equivalent items to the specified Jasper Boston Community chair are permitted if the Director of the Division of Purchases deems them acceptable, provided bidders submit complete identification and descriptive literature for any proposed alternates. Unit pricing is required for each chair. Pricing must include delivery to all designated Maine court locations and be quoted FOB Destination with all transportation charges prepaid by the successful bidder.
Award will be made on the basis of the lowest priced conforming quotation or on a combination of factors including quality, conformity with specifications, delivery time and destination, and ultimate cost to the State, with price receiving a minimum of 25% weight. Payment terms are net 30 from receipt of a correct invoice. The State is exempt from federal and state taxes; all quoted prices must exclude taxes. The Division reserves the right to reject any or all quotations, waive irregularities, partially accept quotations, adjust quantities by up to 10%, and terminate the contract in whole or in part at its discretion.
