About this opportunity

Fulton County, Georgia Department of Public Works is soliciting bids on new, unused, current-production water meters and associated components under ITBC 26ITBC1650100A-ST, with responses due September 29, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time. This is an indefinite-quantity, firm fixed-price contract.

The scope spans 64 line items across meter sizes 5/8" through 12", including ultrasonic water meters integrated with R900 V5 and R900 Cellular Multi-Carrier radio transmitters, replacement measuring chambers, turbine units, strainers, encoder registers, flange kits, and various transmission and registration components. Quantities range from 1 to 2,500 units per item. All meters must be manufactured in ISO 9001-certified facilities, comply with AWWA C715 and C750 standards, feature solid-state ultrasonic technology with no moving parts, and include NSF/ANSI 61-certified copper maincases with lifetime warranties against manufacturer defects. Unit prices must include packing and FOB delivery unloaded and assembled unless otherwise specified.

The contract commences in 2027 with a one-year initial term ending December 31, 2027, and includes two optional one-year renewal terms subject to annual Board of Commissioners approval. Renewal year price increases are limited to the Consumer Price Index, though the contract allows adjustments based on the Producer Price Index for copper and copper-base alloy products upon written verification of manufacturer price changes. Payment terms are Net 30 days from inspection, delivery, and acceptance, or within 20 days if a cash discount is offered. Successful bidders must maintain commercial general liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence with $2,000,000 general aggregate and automobile liability insurance of $500,000 combined single limit. The County reserves the right to award multiple contracts and reject any or all bids. Technical and procedural questions are due September 15, 2026 via BidNet Direct; no pre-bid conference will be held. Bid opening occurs via Zoom webconference on the due date at 11:00 a.m.
