About this opportunity

Sacramento County is soliciting bids for accredited ISO 17025 on-site calibration services for laboratory and operational equipment, with bids due August 19, 2026 under IFB 26-0044. ISO 17025 accreditation is a mandatory qualification that filters eligible bidders.

The scope encompasses annual calibration of up to 65 pieces of equipment across multiple county facilities, including analytical and top-loading balances from manufacturers such as Mettler, Ohaus, Sartorius, and Denver; ovens and furnaces from Thermo Fisher and Fisher Scientific; water baths; temperature-controlled chambers; and walk-in refrigeration units. Equipment is distributed across RA Prep, PDP, Environmental Monitoring, QA Lab, Workers Safety, Residue, Receiving Room, and EA/RA facilities. Attachment 2 identifies 50 specific items by serial number and location; the contract allows for up to 65 items annually. Attachment 1 details calibration frequency, with some equipment requiring annual service and others biennial calibration. Cost proposals must include labor, equipment, parts, materials, tools, licenses, permits, supervision, inspection, insurance, transportation, travel, and per diem expenses for Years 1, 2, and 3, plus contingency costs for additional calibrations. The cost proposal template is non-modifiable; blank cells or modifications result in bid rejection.

The contract term spans three years with Sacramento County funding sourced from operational budget. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all technical specifications and compliance requirements.
