About this opportunity
The Atlanta Independent School System (APS) is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive pest control services across its district-wide facilities, which include 49 elementary schools, 11 middle schools, 12 high schools, and 4 other programs covering a total of 994.4 acres and 9,778,746 square feet. The selected vendor(s) will be responsible for implementing an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program to address a variety of pests, such as insects, rodents, and wildlife, using eco-friendly methods and chemicals. Key requirements include providing detailed service reports, maintaining site logbooks, and complying with all applicable laws and regulations. The contract will have an initial one-year term, with APS having the option to renew for up to four additional one-year periods. Proposals are due by October 17, 2024, and the procurement process will evaluate factors such as the vendor's qualifications, experience, methodology, and pricing.
The RFP indicates that APS does not maintain an approved vendor list, allowing any qualified vendor to submit a proposal. The contract will be awarded to a primary vendor, with APS reserving the right to also select an alternate vendor. Pricing for the pest control services must be submitted on a separate cost proposal form, and APS has not specified a budget range or anticipated award value. The selected vendor(s) will be required to comply with APS's background check and fingerprinting requirements for all personnel providing services under the contract.
