About this opportunity
The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County, Georgia is seeking competitive proposals for paint recycling services through Request for Proposal (RFP) #24039. The contractor will be responsible for recycling approximately 50,000-55,000 pounds of paint and paint-like products per year collected from the Athens-Clarke County Center for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM) and the ACCG Municipal Solid Waste Landfill. The initial contract term is one year with the option to extend for up to four additional one-year periods. Proposals must address proper shipping, documentation, and recycling of the collected materials, and may also include opportunities for purchasing recycled paint and staff training. Proposals will be evaluated based on the per-gallon or per-pound cost for different paint and paint-like products. The RFP includes two addenda that modify the proposal submission requirements and provide clarification on scope, pricing, and management of oil-based paints. Proposals are due by 3:00 PM ET on February 22, 2024.
The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are listed. The RFP does not provide any information on the award value or budget range for this procurement.
