About this opportunity
This is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the City of Sandy Springs, Georgia for traffic count services to support the development of the city's Safe Streets and Roads for All Safety Action Plan. The City is seeking quotes from traffic counting firms to provide 580 bidirectional daily traffic counts across 694 road tubes at 580 locations on the city's high injury network and high crash intersections. The counts are to be conducted over 48-hour weekday periods. Bids are due October 19, 2023 by 2:00 PM EST via the Bonfire portal. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on September 26, 2023 at 9:00 AM EST via Zoom. Questions are due by October 3, 2023 at 5:00 PM EST. The City reserves the right to award the work to multiple firms to expedite the process. Pricing is requested for each of the City's six council districts as well as a total citywide price. Contractors must submit required bid documents including the City Bid Form, Qualification Signature and Certification Form, Reference Form, Bid Schedule, Bid Price Certification, E-Verify Affidavit, and Subcontractor List.
The City has not indicated any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The City does not currently have a vendor under contract for the required traffic counts, and there are no incumbent pricing details to share. The City is interested in using either traffic tubes or cameras to perform the volume-only counts, as speed and vehicle classification data are not required. The City has not provided a budget range or estimated award value for this project.
