About this opportunity

The City of Sandy Springs, Georgia is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the lease of approximately 211 portable two-way radios and associated accessories for the Sandy Springs Police Department. The RFP outlines the technical requirements for the radios, including support for Project 25 (P25) Phase 1 and 2 protocols, encryption, and connectivity features. Offerors must provide a turnkey solution that is compatible with the existing North Fulton Regional Radio System Authority (NFRRSA) infrastructure. The evaluation criteria include the technical approach, personnel qualifications, relevant experience, and cost, with the goal of selecting the most qualified firm to provide the required two-way radio solution. The contract term is for five years, with four one-year renewal options. The RFP has a non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting scheduled for December 13, 2023, and responses are due by January 10, 2024 at 2:00 PM.

The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The Offerors List includes two responding vendors, L3 Harris and Motorola Solutions, but does not indicate if they are the incumbent contractors. The RFP does not provide any information on the available budget or expected award value for this contract opportunity.
