The project scope encompasses rehabilitation of the existing pump station, including replacement of pumps, valves, valve vault, and electrical equipment; site work improvements; installation of guide rails; replacement of the wet well top and access hatches; and all associated work necessary for completion. Bids must be submitted to the Office of City Clerk at City Hall, 201 Jeff Davis Avenue, Long Beach, Mississippi 39560, with a strict deadline of 11:30 P.M. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on March 25, 2026 at 9:00 A.M. at the downstairs meeting room of Long Beach City Hall to allow prospective bidders to clarify project requirements. Contract documents, including detailed drawings and technical specifications, are available for review and purchase at the Office of City Clerk and through multiple online platforms: www.longbeachmsbids.com and www.overstreetengplans.com. Electronic bid submissions are accepted through www.longbeachmsbids.com, and Plan House at (228) 248-0181 can provide technical assistance with website registration, document acquisition, and the electronic bidding process. The City reserves the right to hold bids for up to ninety (90) days following opening for bid review and bidder qualification investigation prior to award.

Each bid submission must include bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, submitted as a certified check, bank draft payable to the City of Long Beach, negotiable U.S. Government bonds at par value, or a satisfactory Bid Bond with acceptable surety. Bidders must comply with Mississippi Law requirements regarding Certificate of Responsibility Numbers: bids exceeding $50,000 must indicate the Certificate number on the sealed proposal exterior, while bids not exceeding $50,000 must either display the Certificate number or clearly mark "Bid does not exceed $50,000." The bid documents do not specify set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises, minority-owned businesses, or other restricted classifications, nor do they identify incumbent vendors or existing contractors. No specific budget range or estimated project cost is provided in the procurement notice. The City of Long Beach reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any bidding process informalities. The Advertisement for Bids was published on March 6, 2026 and March 13, 2026, pursuant to authorization by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen on March 3, 2026.
