The project scope includes complete roof replacement with asphalt fiberglass shingles, Bituthene watershield underlayment across the entire roof surface, continuous prefabricated ridge vent, pipe penetration kits for vents and downspouts, and materials at roof-skylight and roof-exhaust-vent intersections. The estimated construction cost for the base bid is $100,000. Work must be completed within ninety calendar days of the Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages of $500 per day for schedule overruns. Bids require a 5% bid deposit as bid bond, certified check, or treasurer's/cashier's check. Bids up to $150,000 require a 50% Payment Bond with no Performance Bond; bids exceeding $150,000 require 100% Payment and Performance Bonds.

All work is subject to Massachusetts prevailing wage requirements (rates effective June 1, 2026, through 2028, varying by trade). All employees must complete an OSHA-approved construction safety course of at least 10 hours prior to beginning work. Contractors must comply with Federal Department of Homeland Security Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9) procedures. Award will be made to the lowest responsible and eligible bidder within thirty days of bid opening. Questions are due October 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM via COMMBUYS; responses will be provided by addendum.
