The school district will purchase roofing materials using its tax-exempt status, and therefore taxes should not be included in bid proposals. Payment will be structured as monthly progress payments with 10 percent retainage up to 50 percent completion and 5 percent retainage thereafter, with final payment due upon issuance of the manufacturer's warranty and receipt of final lien waivers. The contractor must submit a Schedule of Values with their proposal and is responsible for obtaining all applicable local and state permits, coordinating work schedules with the building owner and manufacturer representatives, and providing daily cleanup and site protection throughout the project duration.
