About this opportunity

The South Carolina Department of Transportation is soliciting electronic bids for the 2026 Marlboro CTC Resurfacing project, a road resurfacing contract covering approximately 4.42 miles in McCormick County, with bids due August 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at SCDOT Headquarters in Columbia. No DBE goal or set-aside applies.

The scope includes borrow excavation, shoulder paving, full-depth asphalt patching, milling, asphalt surface course installation, mobilization, bonds and insurance, traffic control, permanent construction signage, pavement markings in paint and thermoplastic, milled-in rumble strips spanning 7.04 miles, and permanent grassing for non-permitted resurfacing areas. Work items encompass thousands of tons of asphalt and paving materials. Project completion is June 30, 2027.

Bid forms and construction standards become available July 11, 2026 through the Bid Express website and SCDOT Construction Extranet. Hardcopy plans and proposals are available from Engineering Publications for a fee. All bid totals will be posted immediately after opening on the SCDOT website, Bid Express, and the Construction Extranet. The project is funded through SCDOT's CTC program (project numbers P044629 and P045452).
