About this opportunity
The City of Arlington, Texas is requesting sealed bids for the 2026 Concrete Panel & Sidewalk Replacement Program, Phase II (Project No. PWSM26007), with bids due July 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. and a pre-bid teleconference on July 7, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. All bidders and subcontractors must be prequalified by the City of Arlington in appropriate work categories prior to bid opening—a mandatory eligibility gate.
The scope includes removal and replacement of miscellaneous concrete panels, concrete, ramps, and sidewalks across multiple Arlington locations including NE Green Oaks Boulevard, Mesquite Hill Drive, Blue Duck Trail, Turner Warnell Road, and Morning Dove Drive. Work comprises 13 line items with quantities ranging from 10 to 7,600 square yards, including reinforced concrete pavement replacement (7,600 sq yd), reinforced concrete sidewalk removal and replacement (500 sq yd), curb and gutter work (350 linear feet), and residential and commercial drive approach replacements. The contract term is 120 calendar days from Notice to Proceed, with work commencing within 10 days of that notice.
The Engineer's estimate is $1.3 million. Prevailing wage rates apply under General Decision TX20250294, ranging from $14.80 per hour for flaggers to $36.10 per hour for electricians. Bid security of 5% of the largest possible bid total must accompany proposals in the form of a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond. The successful contractor must provide Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds each for 100% of the contract price; the Maintenance Bond covers a two-year period following City acceptance. No bids may be withdrawn for 90 days following bid opening. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award to the lowest responsible bidder.
