About this opportunity
The Chequamegon School District in Park Falls, Wisconsin is seeking proposals for a partial re-roofing project at its South Campus, scheduled for completion by August 22, 2025. The procurement involves removing and replacing existing EPDM roofing materials on specific roof areas (Roof Areas 6 & 8, Pod C, LMC) with a new Carlisle Sure-Seal Design "B" Loose Laid Ballasted Roofing System utilizing .060" non-reinforced EPDM membrane. Key deliverables include installation of new roofing membrane, flashings, metal fascias, copings, and an additional 3" of R-17 insulation. Bidders must be an Authorized Carlisle "Hall of Fame" ESP, Perfection 10 status roofing contractor or demonstrate equivalent experience. The proposals are due on January 8, 2025 at 8:30 AM CST, with a mandatory pre-bid site inspection required. Evaluation criteria will include the proposal's overall value and alignment with district requirements, with the School Board reserving the right to reject any bids.
The contract does not specify explicit set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Contractors must provide comprehensive insurance coverage, including $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate liability coverage, along with worker's compensation insurance. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 15-year non-prorated Total System Warranty with no dollar limitation, a 55 mph wind speed warranty, and a 20-year membrane warranty. Payment terms include a 10% retainage on progress payments up to 50% completion, reducing to 5% thereafter. While specific budget ranges are not explicitly stated, the project involves comprehensive roofing replacement for multiple campus roof areas. Materials will be purchased under the District's tax-exempt status, and the contractor will be expected to work closely with school district facilities management to minimize disruption during the renovation process.
