About this opportunity

The Henry County 2025 Generator Installations project is a construction procurement seeking a qualified electrical contractor to install five permanent generators and one portable generator across eight sites. The project requires comprehensive installation of generators with automatic or manual transfer switches, with all work to be completed within 365 consecutive calendar days. Bids must be submitted electronically through QuestCDN.com by November 20, 2025, at 10:00 am, with a $50.00 online submission fee and a $100.00 document download fee. Contractors must be licensed as an Electrician by the State of Georgia or have a licensed individual performing the installation. The procurement will be awarded as a single contract, with bid documents specifying detailed technical requirements for generator and transfer switch installations. Bidders are required to maintain their bid for 60 days following the submission deadline, and electronic submission is mandatory with no paper submissions accepted.

The solicitation does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged business enterprises. Bidders must demonstrate technical capability through an active electrical licensing credential and comply with the state's contractor regulations. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed in the available documentation, the comprehensive nature of the project involving multiple generator installations suggests a potentially significant contract value. The project will be managed by Carter & Sloope, Inc. of Canton, Georgia, who can be contacted at 770-479-8782 for additional information. Bidders are expected to provide a bid bond or certified cashier's check for at least 10% of the base bid, and the successful contractor will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds each equal to 100% of the contract price. The contracting authority reserves the right to evaluate bids based on responsiveness, qualifications, and established criteria.
