About this opportunity
The City of Beaver Dam Utilities in Wisconsin is seeking bids for a new 14' carbon steel dump body for municipal fleet use, with proposals due by 1:00 p.m. on June 12, 2025. The procurement is specifically for a heavy-duty municipal vehicle with precise technical specifications, including a 14' long bed with 44" high sides, a half cab guard, single cylinder double-acting hydraulic system, factory air-tripped tailgate, and a Cougar DC-3200 electric vibrator. The vehicle must include comprehensive safety features such as mirror-mounted LED strobes, front/grill mounted strobes, rear post mounted strobes, stop tail directionals, back-up alarm, rear mudflaps, two OSHA-approved body props, a power retractable tarp, and a power liftgate. Vendors must submit bids through Vendornet, mail, delivery, or email to Jeremy Klug, Director of Utilities, with the proposal valid for a minimum of 30 days. The chassis is planned for production on June 13, 2025, and will be painted Mack Medium Red, with the city reserving the right to reject any or all bids and select the most advantageous proposal.
No specific set-aside designations or restrictions on vendor types were explicitly mentioned in the documentation. While no incumbent vendor information was provided, the solicitation includes technical specifications from Mack truck specifications, suggesting potential integration requirements with existing municipal fleet infrastructure. The bidding process allows for alternative or equivalent specifications if certain minimum requirements cannot be precisely met, providing some flexibility for vendors. Interested parties must contact Jeremy Klug at (920) 887-4625 or jklug@ci.beaverdam.wi.gov for any questions regarding specifications. Although no specific budget range was detailed in the documents, the comprehensive technical requirements suggest this is a significant municipal equipment procurement. The procurement covers Beaver Dam Utilities in Eau Claire County, Wisconsin, with the expectation that the selected vendor can meet or exceed the specified technical and performance standards for the municipal dump body.
