About this opportunity
The City of Perry, Georgia is seeking competitive sealed bids for ADA Modifications to the Downtown Parking Lot, with proposals due by 2:00 pm on March 18, 2025, at 1211 Washington Street, Perry, GA 31069. The procurement involves comprehensive accessibility improvements, specifically requiring contractors to ensure current ADA parking spaces are compliant with ADA Standards, provide accessible connections from parking spaces to street sidewalks, and add ADA-compliant ramps to Ball Street sidewalks connecting the parking lot and City Hall parking lot. Qualified contractors must submit detailed proposals addressing the specific modifications outlined in the bid documents. Following the bid submission, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the closing time. Vendors will be responsible for obtaining and paying for all necessary permits and licenses required to perform the work, including procuring inspection certificates from local authorities. The bid process involves a public opening and reading of submitted proposals immediately following the submission deadline.
The solicitation does not explicitly specify set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Contractors must demonstrate the ability to obtain appropriate public liability and casualty insurance to protect both vendor personnel and the City against potential bodily injury damages. While specific budget ranges are not detailed in the provided documentation, the scope suggests a focused infrastructure improvement project with precise accessibility modification requirements. The vendor will be responsible for comprehensive compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to ADA modifications, including obtaining and delivering all required certificates of acceptance or completion from relevant authorities. Interested contractors should carefully review the attached sitemap (Attachment A) and parking details to fully understand the project's technical specifications and requirements. The procurement appears to be open to qualified contractors with appropriate licensing, insurance, and expertise in ADA-compliant infrastructure modifications.
