The scope covers three phases in Sedgwick County. Phase 3 (2024) includes Del Sienno, east of Dougherty. Phase 2 (2025) includes five streets, including 1st Street North and Knight Street. Contractor-performed haul-off is subsidiary to site clearing.
Pricing is due as lump sum or as measured quantities at unit prices, free of duties and federal, state, and local taxes unless imposed by law. A bid table workbook is attached with pricing line items. A bid bond of 5% of the total bid is required before opening. Bids remain irrevocable for 60 days after opening. Work runs 80 working days from the start date, which falls 30 calendar days after award.
The City will award to the lowest and best total net bid from a responsible and responsive vendor. Evaluation criteria include minimum three years' experience in similar services, understanding of industry standards, comparable project experience, and adequate material, equipment, and labor capacity. The successful bidder must deliver a Certificate of Insurance within ten days of award notification. Required coverage is commercial general liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, comprehensive automobile liability of $1,000,000, and workers' compensation at statutory limits.
