About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting bids for 15 Olivetti Form Printers, with bids due May 18, 2011.
The procurement uses an Invitation for Bid structure with award to the lowest responsible bidder based on best value to the State, considering quality, conformity with specifications, delivery date, and ultimate cost. All bids and amendments must be submitted electronically prior to the closing date and time; late submissions are rejected. The State reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities and technicalities, and increase or decrease quantities by up to 10% unless otherwise specified.
In cases of tied bids, preference will be given to in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine. Bidders must submit separate unit prices for each item using prescribed forms or electronic mediums, with awards made on a per-item or group basis as deemed most advantageous to the State. Samples, when required, must be furnished free of charge. All transportation charges and freight costs shall be prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified in the bid. Bidders must specify delivery terms in definite language; the earliest delivery date may serve as an award factor if time is of the essence. The State is exempt from Federal and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes, and bidders should quote without including these taxes. No contract may be assigned, sublet, or transferred without written consent of the Director.
