About this opportunity

The Town of Georgetown, Mississippi is soliciting sealed bids for the construction of 2023 DRA Sewer Improvements, a capital infrastructure project involving the installation of a new duplex pump station with controls and force main designed to carry effluent directly to the Pearl River while replacing the existing cascade aerator system. Bids must be submitted by 10:00 am local time on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Town of Georgetown Town Hall located at 1048 East Poplar Street, Georgetown, MS 39078. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the same location to allow prospective bidders to review project requirements and ask clarifying questions. Contract documents, specifications, and plans are available for public inspection at Town Hall and at the Engineer's office (WGK, Inc., 204 West Leake Street, Clinton, MS 39056), as well as online at www.wgkengineersprojects.com for a non-refundable download fee of $75, with hard copies available for order. The selected contractor must complete all work within One Hundred Twenty (120) consecutive calendar days from the notice to proceed, with liquidated damages assessed at $500 per consecutive calendar day for any delays beyond the specified completion date. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:00 am on March 26, 2026, and award consideration will occur at or before the next regular Town meeting within thirty days of bid receipt.

Non-resident bidders are required to include a copy of their resident state's current law pertaining to treatment of non-resident contractors with their bid submissions, and bids submitted without this documentation will be rejected. The Town of Georgetown reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any or all bids received. No specific set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, incumbent vendor information, or explicit budget ranges are identified in the procurement documents. The project will integrate with existing sewer infrastructure and the Pearl River ecosystem, requiring bidders to demonstrate familiarity with wastewater treatment systems and environmental compliance requirements. Contractors should verify all technical specifications and site conditions during the pre-bid conference and through document review prior to submitting their proposals.
