The Maine Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for a 100-ton hydraulic press of C-type configuration with a proposal due date of April 30, 2010. Bids must be submitted on or before that date.

The press must feature C-type design enabling work on three sides, with a minimum 200,000-pound capacity at 2,550 psi, powered by a 10 HP three-phase 440V motor. Specific hydraulic and electrical configurations are detailed: 10.51 GPM pump capacity, 10-inch diameter hydraulic cylinder with 5-inch piston and 18 3/8-inch stroke, 22-gallon tank capacity, and flexible voltage options (208V, 230V, 440V, or 575V). The press shall not exceed 3,625 pounds total weight and 100 inches in height.

The scope includes a hydraulic-operated vise table with tempered steel anti-skid jaws, 1-inch high sliding rail, and 14-inch jaw opening, designed for leaf spring assembly and suspension component work. The equipment must accommodate accessories for Hendrickson and Rayco torque rod bushings and include optional U-bolt bender and adapter kits. Deliverables include two operator's manuals, one repair and maintenance manual, one parts manual, one day of manufacturer-provided training, and complete pre-delivery inspection and servicing. All bid prices must be inclusive of shipping and delivery to Maine DOT Fleet Service in Augusta, Maine. The equipment shall be delivered in lead-free paint per manufacturer standards with manufacturer's standard warranty commencing from the in-service date. Bidders must document any exceptions to specification on a separate sheet. Accessories pricing must be submitted separately as an option. Maine DOT reserves the right to pre-inspect equipment before delivery and to reject defective materials or entire shipments where sample inspection reveals ten percent defective items. Contractors are responsible for remedying defects appearing within one year of final acceptance.

Questions are due April 30, 2010.
